Nursery

Redd went to Nursery for the first time today!

It was a little bitter-sweet...

I never thought I would look forward

to the day he went to nursery,

but ever since we moved into our new ward

he has been a little terror at church.

The nursery leader said he did a good

job in the beginning and then

got sad and cried for a little while, but

as soon as they broke out the snacks he was fine again.

It was nice to actually nice to enjoy

Relief Society without having

to try to keep him quiet.

I asked Redd to show me the picture he

colored and he laid down on the floor with the picture in front of him. As far as we know his artwork

was confined to the paper and

not the furniture!

Wicked

Judd went on a couple weekend

vacations with his brother this

summer and to make it up

to me, he surprised me with

tickets to

WICKED! We flew to Denver and stayed

in a fun hotel right by the theater.

Judd tried a crazy dish

at dinner.. called

Southern Style Chicken and Waffles

It was 4 small pieces of fried chicken on top of a waffle,

covered with powdered sugar

and served with syrup.

It made me sick just to

look at it!

Boating and Bull Riding

For the past 5 years we have been

going to Vegas for the

Professional Bull Riding Finals.

We spend the day out on Lake Mead and then

at night we go to the Rodeo.

It is such a fun trip and we

have a blast every year!

All the "adults" on the trip. For some reason when we get to Vegas, these guys think they are back in high school! Notice how we are all bundled up in the pictures.. every year it seems that the first big cold front rolls in on the weekend we are in Vegas. Only the brave ones dare get into the water! My two favorite boys all dressed up for the Rodeo.

Grandma gave Redd a lemon at dinner!

Every morning we meet out at the boat

and have breakfast in the parking lot.

Ren and Michael were playing catch

with a football & Redd wanted to play too.

He was so funny to watch run around

after the ball. He even got a little

ticked when Ren didn't throw it to him!

Since we were at the Rodeo on Halloween,

these three boys dressed up as the 3 Amigos.

Every year they wear matching outfits

to one night of the Rodeo.

Halloween Fun

This year we were out of town for Halloween, so we did our celebrating the week before. We got together with all the Costley Kids and had a fun Halloween dinner.

Redd didn't want his picture taken,

so we had to settle for an action shot.

The kids got to decorate the yummy cookies Tami made.

Redd loved the frosting. He even ended up with some in his hair, thanks to Berkley! Redd's friends had a Halloween Playdate at Lily's House

The kids played a fun Spider Toss Game

and did a Ghost Walk for prizes!The kids decorated cookies.

Redd was more interested in

eating the sprinkles, than

eating the cookie.

It was so fun to see the kids

play together!

While I was uploading the pictures

for my last blog post, Redd found

a permanent marker....Lucky for Redd, aunt Angie called with a solution

and I was able to get it off of everything but

the grout.

Utah at UNLV

Utah recently played UNLV in Las Vegas

and since Bart and Andria live there...

it made for an easy vacation!

Kirt's family came from California

and most of the Utah clan made it.

(we missed Jake, Lisa & the boys).

These are my sad attempts of getting

a picture of all the kids in their Utes gear.

I wanted a picture of these two together, but

if one was smiling, the other was mad!

Owen wanted in on the action! At the Utah home games we have a little boy who sits behind us and gets Dippin Dots at every game. Redd always turns around and watches him the whole time with a "please feel bad for me and give me a bite" look on his face. Uncle Bart got him some of his very own and he was a little unsure with the first bite, but that didn't stop him for long! Isn't she the cutest? We had a super early flight home on Monday morning, so Redd flew home in his jammies. Lucky for us he slept the whole flight!

Football

Friday night we went to the

Fremont football game

with Grandpa Blake, Granny Deb

and Cord.

Redd loves to watch football games.

He claps, cheers and even puts

both hands up when there is a touchdown!

Cord got him a mini football and he loved it!

Our family is obviously big Utah fans and Redd is showing he loves them too. He can now find the Utah drum and feather logo on anything and loves to point it out. He struggles with his nose, eyes, and ears, but the drum and feather.. not a problem!
